towards a new architecture

What do you do in a time when many look to the past to establish a contemporary dictum on the state of culture? What happens then, when the responsive treatise becomes an anachronism in its own right? Towards A New Architecture presents these questions to fourteen artists, architects and writers. Taking Le Corbusier's often-mistranslated title as their starting point, the fourteen artists consider how a product of its own age comes to be in a time when the modern age is well behind us.
Participating artists: Evan apRoberts, Seann Brackin, Alyssa Brackin, Anita Bunn, Brad Eberhard, Meredith Goldsmith, Andres Janacua, Bianca Kolonusz-Partee, Thomas Kolonusz-Partee, Andrea Liu, Robert Morris, Steve Roden, Jorge Andres Rodriguez, and Jeff Williams. Curated by Julie Spielman.
Towards A New Architecture is generously supported by Gabriel Architects, Houston, TX and galería perdida.
